It is difficult to attend to all of the managerial and administrative tasks, and be the instructional leader that is required for an effective charter school. A charter school leader does not have to go it alone.

Additionally, if a school finds itself without a leader at any time during the year, ACES has Cadre staff members that can step in on an interim basis, to fill the void and keep the school operating efficiently until a new school leader is found. Whether it is for a day, a week, a month or longer, ACES professional administrators have the licenses, skills, and experience to help a Governing Council keep the school operational and assist with selecting a new school leader.

Robert Abney: Administrative Support and Professional Development
Robert Abney has been a member of ACES professional cadre since his retirement from traditional schools in 2019. He has a wealth of administrative experience, including 19 years as an administrator at all school levels. In addition to providing support for charter schools through ACES, he has spent much of the past six months working with the SWREC providing support for state LEAs on the implementation of the MLSS process.
